Pros

  • + Flawless, absolutely fantastic mechanics and audio/visual synchronization
  • + Excellent physics, feedback (including controller feedback) and overall feeling
  • + Infinite replayability and ability to use as in-home fitness training
  • + Great tutorial, suitable even for VR newbies
  • + Precise tracking on both PC VR and even Quest version

Cons

  • – Lack of integrated from-the-box Custom Tracks support with easy tracks exchange
  • – DLCs are very expensive and not very variative. We expect more official Metal/Rock DLCs :D
  • – Quite boring campaign

One of the BEST games for everyone in the whole VR industry of all the time. Fits for everyone, who doesn't avoid physical activity. No entry barrier, extremely simple and immersive. STRONGLY recommended for use with BSaber.com and custom songs mod.

Tested on: i7, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, Rift CV1
Performance: STEAM-version supports Oculus SDK mode (but you need to launch it with "-vrmode oculus" argument in game's properties. Launching game in SteamVR mode doesn't affect much on performance loss.

Pros

  • + Amazing game mechanics and overall feeling, nice soundtrack
  • + Very solid level of visualization and game look for both PC and Quest versions
  • + Flexible difficulty settings and different modifiers
  • + Easy to learn with integrated tutorial, suites for people to introduce VR
  • + Great post-release support from developers (4 free DLCs released, including two different story modes)

Cons

  • – No support for custom songs and mods
  • – No multiplayer mode

Absolutely amazing must-have music game, with flawless gameplay and immersion. Requires large amount of physical activity from the player on hard levels, but might be played on easier levels in more relaxed/chilling way with less physical activity. High level of re-playability and low threshold.

Tested on: i7, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, Rift CV1
Performance: STEAM-version doesn't run native Oculus SDK, but supports OpenComposite. There is performance loss on low-end configurations while launching the game in SteamVR. Oculus Store version runs in Oculus SDK mode and supports Cross-Buy between Rift and Quest!

Pros

  • + Good but simple physics, nice sound design and music
  • + Recreates the atmosphere of the movie "Zombieland"
  • + Most of the characters are voiced by original film actors
  • + Suitable for newbie players, even for the first acquaintance with VR
  • + The environment is varied and non-repetitive
  • + Gradual increase in difficulty level

Cons

  • – The graphic part is very regular, nothing special
  • – Not replayable after completion
  • – Don't except too much from the physics and gameplay mechanics, this game is quite simple

It is good to spend a week or two to go through the story campaign in this simple, but atmospheric game. But after passing the whole story you probably won't play it again. Mechanics and physics are a bit similar to Drop Dead: Dual Strike.

Tested on: i7, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, Rift CV1
Performance: Oculus Store version runs in Oculus SDK mode and supports cross-buy between Rift и Quest.

Space Pirate Trainer

Wonderful game from early VR products, modernized and updated with really original ideas for non-single-player street-scale experiences

Pros

  • + Nice mechanics and feel/feedback from the items you use
  • + Gradually increasing complexity
  • + Interesting implementation of an energy shield that can be used for protection
  • + Energetic soundtrack in the heavy music genre
  • + Recently added multiplayer mode with a contestable elements
  • + Real MIND BLOWING street-scale mode in the recent Oculus Quest update

Cons

  • – Quite boring after playing for a while
  • – Classic (non-street-scale mode) is not very replayable and has rather monotonous mechanics.
  • – Street-scale mode (only for Oculus Quest) needs very complicated space (half of basketball/football field, at least 30x30 meters) and internet connection

For its time, it was a bright shooting range with original solutions. The game still remains a good attraction and a good start for newbies in VR. The recently released update with Arena (street-scale) mode is really awesome, but it's quite difficult for most players to find a suitable space to play and it's available only on Oculus Quest headsets.

Tested on: i7, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, Rift CV1
Performance: STEAM-version of the game is compatiable with OpenComposite and doesn't have any performance issues.
