  • + Perfectly made game mechanics and narration
  • + Very original routines and a way of progress

  • + Exquisite puzzles and worlds

Cons

  • – On some stages it might be difficult to seek and find specific ingredients
  • – Few non-intuitive puzzles and lack of possibility to ask for a clue

A wonderful example of story, adopted to VR game with deep philosophical thoughts. Strongly recommended for fans of Shadow Point

Pros

  • + Сolorful environment
  • + Chilly music
  • + Quite original but simple combat system
  • + Requires you to move a lot

Cons

  • – You lose your progress when losing a battle
  • – Too much increasing complexity for beginners and mainstream players
  • – If you skip dialogues, you quickly lose the essence of what is happening

This game is able to keep the attention of not very enthusiastic player with it`s mechanics and environment. But the weaknesses give the impression that the game development is still unfinished. Developers released few updates that improved the game and added new game modes, but we don't think this game hooks and is able to keep the average player for a long time.

Tested on: Ryzen 5900x, RTX 3080, 32GB RAM, Quest 2 (+link)
Performance: STEAM-version runs natively in Oculus SDK mode and doesn't have any performance issues on Oculus devices

Performance: STEAM version doesn't have any performance issues with Oculus devices, but doesn't support Oculus SDK natively. Oculus store version supports cross-buy between Rift and Quest

Pros

  • + Amazing game characters, animations and interaction
  • + Very different worlds between the chapters
  • + Feeling of the living world and the creatures in it
  • + Difficulty settings

Cons

  • – A little bit chunky (comparing to Moss and Lucky's Tale) enemy collision mechanics
  • – Really bad camera sometimes (especially if you missed something and want to go back)
  • – Checkpoint save system and need to save minimum creatures to pass through the game

Nice indie platformer able to challenge established pedestal classic games without surpassing them. Strongly recommended to the lovers of this genre and mainstream players, who are able to play such platformers.

Performance: STEAM-version doesn't have any performance issues on Oculus devices and supports OpenComposite

Pros

  • + Absolutely stunning look&feel, incredible environments
  • + Touching and captivating story line
  • + Amazing control of protagonist
  • + Incredible interactions with everything, including main hero, enemies and environments
  • + Light but impressive combat system and puzzles

Cons

  • – Might require some time to learn for players, who never played platformers.
  • – Lack of paid dlcs :D story is so amazing that players would be happy to pay for more!

One of the best VR games ever made: not very replayable, but so impressive and cute, deep and magnificent, that even if you're not a fan of platformers, you'll be interested to play it. And we're awaiting for the MOSS: Book Two this summer! :)

Tested on: Meta Quest 2
Performance: STEAM version doesn't have any performance issues with Oculus devices. Oculus store version does not support cross-buy between Rift and Quest platforms

Pros

  • + "Must have" for racing fans
  • + Very close compliance with real cars and 60+ places presented in the game
  • + Full support of wide range of controllers, including gamepads, steering wheels and other accessories
  • + Flexible difficulty settings, including car behaviour, weather settings etc. Online and offline modes available to play
  • + Support of different user-made modifications (mods)

Cons

  • – High threshold entry: it's not an arcade game and it's niche is simulation racing game fans
  • – For ordinary player the game might be not replayable because of it's monotonous mechanics.

If you love computer racing simulator games, racing in VR is a real level up for you. After all, instead of an image on a monitor (or three monitors, never mind), the player is surrounded by a realistic environment filled with details and sounds. So racing becomes much more emotional and immersive. This is one of the best racing simulators with VR support so far

Tested on: Ryzen 5900x, RTX 3080, 32GB RAM, Quest 2 (+link)
Performance: STEAM-version of the game performs well even in SteamVR mode, but you'll need a good rig to fully enjoy well-detailed graphics with no rough pixels on thin items

  • + Ability to play solo or multiplayer with real players or friends

Pros

  • + Cool feeling when you are playing the game, grab the alien spheres
  • + Really impressive feedback and behaviors
  • + First impression is really amazing
  • + Medium, quite balanced difficulty of the puzzles
  • + Nice mechanics and environment

Cons

  • – In general, not much changes in gameplay during your progress
  • – Progress just unlocks other kind of worlds and more complicated puzzles
  • – Not very important, but menus, dialogues etc remind you it's an indie game

We would really recommend this game, because it is very valuable and original game, which is made by only one person. It's not that type of game you'll launch very often, but it have some replayability potential and it generates really amazing feeling of what is happening

Pros

  • + Really good game mechanics and idea

  • + Different modes and arenas, ability to play versus bots or real players (including friends), social lobbies with different simple games and voice chat

  • + Suitable for a quick game (match duration is between 2 and 4 minutes

Cons

This duel game is great for a short breaks (a match lasts around 2-4 minutes) and allows you to warm up a bit, as it requires active movements. If you are looking for an easy competitive and replayable game, we definitely recommend it!

Tested on: i7, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, Rift CV1
